Crafting and collecting thought provoking questions has been a passion of mine for quite some time now. A really great question can stop you dead in your tracks and practically take your breath away. They're powerful because they make you think, and sometimes dig deep down inside yourself to look for the answer.
Fran Fisher from the Powerful Conversations blog shared a great one the other day...
"What did you learn in the first grade that you now need to get rid of?"
Now that takes some thought! The first thoughts that came to my mind were, "What about all of the other grades? What about all of the other years?" In other words, what beliefs are you holding onto even though they no longer serve you?
As you can tell, that question sent me far beyond the first grade. And the answers have been wake up calls. Really great wake up calls! I love it! I guess that's one of the things that I love so much about being a coach. The learning goes on and on...and some days, it's downright profound.
Hey, if you're every looking for some great questions, let me know!
And by the way..."What did you learn in the first grade that you now need to get rid of?"
